This it the Boab Prison Tree near Derby, Western Australia.  It was supposedly used in the 1890′s for a temporary prison as guards took Indigenous Aborigines across the continent to be sentenced for crimes committed.  It was able to fit up to 5 prisoners inside while guards had only to watch the entrance overnight.
